            Bug ID: 503359
Summary: Timeline: "Align to markers" feature
    Classification: Applications
           Product: kdenlive
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Other
                OS: Other
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Timeline & Editing
          Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org
          Reporter: gabcor...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Yesterday I was testing the Multicam feature in Kdenlive, and in general it
works pretty well and is useful.

One small feature that would be handy while aligning clips, prior to use the
Multicam Tool (especially for those situations where there are no audio cues to
sync them to) is the ability to align those clips to markers.

The workflow would be:
1. Review all the clips we want to align, and add a marker in each one, at the
desired syncing point.
2. Select those clips in the timeline, RMB click and select Markers > Align to
markers".
3. All selected clips are now aligned, so that the marker in each one is at the
same time in the timeline.

To decide:
A. How to treat the case of several markers present in those clips. (perhaps
use only markers in a specific category/name?)
B. How to treat the case of several "sync" markers present in those clips.
(only take into account the first one?)
C. Which selected clip is to be left in place, while aligning. (clip in lower
track? first/last selected clip?)

Thanks for listening! :)
