Sure, it is technically possible, but the entire point of having an iGPU is to conserve power. With the 550 series of nVidia drivers this memory leak does not happen with using the iGPU and dGPU in an Advanced Optimus setup. For me the current workaround this issue is to use the 550 series of nVidia drivers, but this is hardly a long term solution. There are some other remaining issues with the nVidia drivers that are later than 550, like not properly waking up an external monitor if its refresh rate is over 30Hz, but it seems that only kwin_wayland has a memory leak with the later nVidia drivers, and other display managers do not seem to have this issue with the later drivers. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
