--- Comment #31 from Anthony Paul <for...@simplynoah.com> --- I'm here with an update, but not a proposed solution, though I hope the solution mentioned by Alexander works for others. As seen in my previous post, I was using an older AMD graphics card that I specifically bought to drive four monitors from display ports. Later, I switched to using the onboard AMD graphics and driving 3 monitors (one via USB DP 1.4 alt mode port for two with one daisy chained, then the onboard HDMI for the other) --- and the problem no longer occurred. This was a short term solution as I then purchased 4 Dell new monitors with MST support, and used the two USB alt mode ports, each daisy chaining one display and still have not had any crashes. Can't make a solid guess on what the root cause of the issue was/is, could be with Wayland, the graphics driver, or throughput, or any combination of the three. There is some evidence to support the throughput theory as I did notice a significant change in the number of crashes when reducing the monitor count. The card I had should have supported four monitors at 1080p at 60z, but who knows, maybe it was bad card. Maybe I had bad cables. Whatever the case if addressed and unfixable, hopefully the crash can be handled better. Now I am running fine on the same system and install with 4 monitors, 1080p at 120hz. Good luck out there! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
