Just a small clarification — I initially marked the severity as critical because this is not a single-process crash, but rather a session-level failure. When kwin_wayland crashes under Wayland, the GPU remains locked, all TTYs become inaccessible, and remote access is sometimes lost. Recovery requires a full reboot or switching back to X11. In my view, this constitutes a severe loss of functionality and system access, rather than a standard compositor crash.
