Yeah, I created a new user, logged in, took a screenshot, opened the image in gwenview and tried to annotate it and the same thing happened. This is a fairly fresh install of arch. I don't have tooo many things installed aside from the base plasma setup that gets installed so I'm not sure where the issue lies.
