But I completely agree with you: an effective and "intelligent" corrector -causes stupor to see how Hunspell, I think, is unable to recognize, for example, that the user has pressed the space bar on the wrong sites and «Hell, or how arey ou?» is «Hello, how are you?» instead of "correcting" every loose word to end up creating a dadaist phrase with no sense- is a huge advantage for the entire desktop which would benefit Kate but also Kmail, Kalendar, Marknote, etc. My mention of the AOSP standard corrector is because being open source and operating on the local machine, it perhaps might inspire KDE developers if LanguageTool does not convince them. I repeat that I fully endorse your arguments: KDE Plasma should have a powerful and competent spell and grammar checker desktop wide.
