It happens to me, too, with latest KDE Neon. I remember that if I am in the
console mode (CTRL+ALT+F2 or F3) and return back to login screen, typing the
password and then OK, the login screen is frozen and I am unable to enter my
alread logged in desktop, until I kill plasmashell.
