Bug ID: 502361 Summary: Cannot give a custom name to POP3 accounts Classification: Applications Product: kmail2 Version: 6.3.3 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org Reporter: david.de...@ehu.eus Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY When I try to create a custom POP3 account, the settings window starts naming it as "POP3 account". When I change that to a custom name of my choice, then finish setting everything up and press OK, the account is created with the name "POP3 account". Moreover, I can't rename the account later, or any of the other POP3 accounts that I already have. I can rename other types of accounts (such as IMAP) without a problem. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create a new POP3 account in KMail, and try to use a custom name for it. 2. Alternatively, if you have any POP3 accounts already set up, try to rename them. OBSERVED RESULT You can't use custom names for the new accounts, or rename them later. EXPECTED RESULT You should be able to use custom names, as before. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20250329 KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.12.0 Qt Version: 6.8.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I'm using KMail 6.3.3, but the regression might have been introduced earlier, since I hadn't tried to set up or rename a POP3 account in quite some time. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
