Interesting. The screen recording depicting Plasma is really very slow indeed,
while on Cosmic is about as fast as I would expect, and how fast it is for me
on my system.
Let's try to rule out customizations. Can you create a new user account on the
machine, log into Plasma in that account, and try Discover there? Is it fast,
slow, somewhere in between, or something else?
