If we have an application with a sidebar that chooses to not show the sidebar
when in a collapsed view, an incorrect floating X appears during the
transition.
This X button would be used when a transient pop-out sidebar would be used, but
that doesn't make sense when collapsing the sidebar when it wasn't showing
previously.
I have attached a slow motion zip of images that shows the problem.
