Bug ID: 502061 Summary: PNG brushes and patterns loading shouldn't fail if another app (RetroDECK) is installed. Classification: Applications Product: krita Version: 5.2.9 Platform: Appimage OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Resource Management Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: i...@davidrevoy.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 179779 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=179779&action=edit [screenshot] Hi, RetroDECK is a collection of retro game engine. Once installed (via Flatpak here https://flathub.org/apps/net.retrodeck.retrodeck , OS: Debian 12 KDE. Hardware: Lenovo Yoga 370) , Krita will fail at loading any PNG brush an patterns. I could reproduce all the time with various appimage and with vanilla preferences. Many brush presets become brokens and just report a 1px dotted line. I found out a possible cause of that was a part of RetroDECK claiming the *.png image format and Krita trying maybe to open or read it with this executable instead of the built in library. Uninstalling Retrodeck flatpak solves the issue. See the screenshot in attachment where Krita launched on a terminal (konsole, in background) fails to load png brushes and patterns, in foreground, the File Association of retro-game with the *.png format listed. Note: The bug was also reported on RetroDECK side: https://github.com/RetroDECK/RetroDECK/issues/1073 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
