noticed that snapd is always out of date after a reboot.

SUMMARY
Kubuntu 26.10 kernel 6.11.0-18-generic #18-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC
servicectl auto-upgrade is enabled checking other services
[ + ]  alsa-utils
 [ - ]  anacron
 [ + ]  apparmor
 [ + ]  apport
no errors found

Open discovery or synamptic and check for updates/upgrades.
SNAP always has an upgrade pending.  
*mark snap for upgrade
apply changes
>reboot 
same result appears. snap is out of date. 
issue cmd >snap install snapd --edge  # cmd returns an empty comment.




STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.  reboot
2. apt update
3.  open discover
4.  mark for  upgrade all i.e.snap
5. new point release issued by linux-core
6. approve changes and apply
7. reboot 

OBSERVED RESULT
after reopen Discover or run snap-find snapd update reappears. 

EXPECTED RESULT
messages apts are up-to-date.
