That's what I do all the time, and indeed, I do use Fedora KDE 41. I update in
Discover (with offline updates) reboot to apply the update, log in again, and
more often than not, there's a new update waiting for me and Discover notifies
me shortly after login.

Non-technical folks generally never manually install updates. For such people,
a trusted friend or family member should probably turn on auto-updates.

Regardless, we need a clearly reproducible case for the bug report to be
actionable. Once it is, it'll likely be fixed quickly.
