Bug ID: 501415 Summary: Brightness level below 100% is not persistent after reboot or unplugging/replugging power adapter Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version: 6.3.2 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Power management & brightness Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: johnebedf...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY I set my laptop screen brightness to around 30%. However, since a recent update (I think to Plasma 6.3) this setting is no longer persistent after (1) a reboot or (2) unplugging then replugging the power adapter. In these cases it resets to 100%. NB on suspend/return the brightness level is indeed persistent. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Set brightness to level below 100% 2. Either (1) reboot or (2) unplug and replug the power adapter OBSERVED RESULT Brightness level resets to 100% EXPECTED RESULT Preset brightness level (below 100%) is maintained SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: TUXEDO OS KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.11.0 Qt Version: 6.8.2 Kernel Version: 6.11.0-109019-tuxedo (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 4800H with Radeon Graphics Memory: 15.0 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon Graphics Manufacturer: TUXEDO Product Name: TUXEDO Pulse 14 Gen1 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
