Quincy <bbc.qui...@gmx.de> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |bbc.qui...@gmx.de --- Comment #33 from Quincy <bbc.qui...@gmx.de> --- Using gwenview for many years now and never observed that it somehow follows dolphin's settings for sorting. The only thing I encountered recently (version 24.08.x and still with 24.12.2) was that the "sort by" setting does not match with the actual sorting of files (e.g. files are sorted by name, but date is selected). If I clicked on the already selected setting again sorting gets updated accordingly, so it looked like a bug which finally brought me here to learn that the whole thing is not a bug, but a feature... My thoughts on this: - The selected settings should somehow make clear what the *current* sorting is. It is very misleading seeing "sort by date" being selected, but not actually being executed - I can see the link to dolphin feature to be of use for some people, but there should be at least a way to opt out - If possible the feature should only be active if gwenview is really started from dolphin as having it started e.g. from command line with some arbitrary directory it is even more misleading to not have sorting matching the displayed setting. The suggestion of having some option during invocation given above would be a way to implement this. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
