Bug ID: 501115 Summary: Re-add "ctrl + shift + backspace (and delete) for "delete line backwards (or forwards), from cursor position. Classification: Frameworks and Libraries Product: frameworks-kglobalaccel Version: 6.3.0 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdelibs-b...@kde.org Reporter: garfield1...@gmail.com CC: fanzhuyi...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Before KglobalAccel, we used "KHotKeys" which included this particular short cut. I used it quit extensively, and it hasn't been present on KGlobalAccel since switching over. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. place cursor on a text line, in any application. 2. press "ctrl + shift + backspace", to attempt to delete from the cursor backwards one line (or next punctuation as in a "write" application (libreoffice, or Kate). 3. Note, nothing is deleted. OBSERVED RESULT When doing any of the two shortcuts, the cursor remains exactly where it is, and does nothing. EXPECTED RESULT Delete text from where my cursor is, either left or right (backspace or delete, respectively) to the beginning or end of line (respectively). Most desktops (windows, MAC, etc and if I remember Gnome), have this shortcut, and plasma had it before going to KGlobalAccel SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Manjaro Linux KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.11.0 Qt Version: 6.8.2 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
