            Bug ID: 501015
Summary: Add support for iCalendar "cancelled" status
    Classification: Frameworks and Libraries
           Product: Akonadi
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: openSUSE
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: mar...@gmx.de
                CC: c...@carlschwan.eu
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

One of the few features I'm sorely missing in AKonadi/KOrganizer is support for
the "cancelled" status for appointments and tasks (though quickly checking the
RFC (https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc5545) for the correct terminology it's
also a status for journal entries). I find it useful for keeping track of
certain tasks especially (e.g., "I considered this, but decided against it"),
which just deleting them does not sufficiently cover.

Ideally support would also include the necessary UI for cancelling items,
though at least correctly displaying cancelled items would be a good start.

This feature is supported by Nextcloud (which is what I use) and various
Android apps.

(The only bug or ticket I was able to find was
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=345570, which has been closed for ten
years now and merely concerns the *display* of cancelled items.)
