I have a pair of bluetooth earphones.
I connect them, they show as connected, and yet, the sound still goes to the
speakers and the speakers only (if external speakers are connected to the
minijack output, sound goes there; if they are not, sound goes to the laptop's
builtin speakers, but never to the bluetooth earphones).
Nowhere is there any UI to tell the system that I want the audio to go to the
connected bluetooth earphones, which should be the default anyway.
Either something is not working, or the UI is stupidly difficult to figure out.
There are screenshot in the form thread I linked. I would copy and paste them
but this stupid bug tracker in 2025 doesn't support pasting images, and I'm not
going to download and upload them.

SUMMARY
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. connect bluetooth audio device such as earphones
2. play some output
3.
OBSERVED RESULT
Sound plays through builtin speakers or minijack output and there's no UI
anywhere in any reasonable place where one might look to select where to route
the audio output
EXPECTED RESULT
either the audio should go automatically to the bluetooth earphones while they
are connected by default, or there should be a way to select them so that it
does.
