            Bug ID: 500824
Summary: Show room name/info on hover if not already visible
    Classification: Applications
           Product: NeoChat
           Version: 24.12.2
          Platform: Arch Linux
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: General
          Assignee: fe...@posteo.de
          Reporter: jpe...@petsovits.com
                CC: c...@carlschwan.eu, j...@redstrate.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
NeoChat lets me resize the room (or friends) list column to a minimal
horizontal width, showing just the room icon itself. That's great, because I
need the rest of my horizontal screen space for other windows.

But in this narrow list, I now have to tell the rooms apart purely by their
room (or person) icon. The "spaces" column will show the icon's corresponding
name on hover. Rooms in a horizontally minimized column should do the same,
perhaps even with the same list item presentation as the fully expanded view.

Worth considering to even show a hover pop-up on top of the regular (not
horizonally minimized) list view for rooms whose full name was elided in the
list item.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Drag room column size handle to the very left to make show only icons, no
text.
2. Hover mouse pointer on top of a room icon.

OBSERVED RESULT
No pop-up with room name or other window.

EXPECTED RESULT
Shows room name and perhaps even latest message preview on hover.
