In all cases it was a better idea to leave the setting off, which means that the feature is broken. Yet it is the default. Even worse, if you compensate disabling this feature by increasing mouse speed beyond 0.25, the cursor will exhibit discontinued animation on small movements. If you are using a low end mouse you probably won't notice the different.
