You open a bunch of files and then save them as a session. Next time you just
reopen the session. All open files are auto restored.

We have the tools that can do what you describe. 

Another way to save state is not wanted because it will need extra effort to
maintain and develop. And I see little usefulness in it. Sorry, but learn to
use the features we have instead of asking for more. Maintaining sessions is
already a hard enough thing. Thanks for your request, but its not happening,
sorry.
