I, too, don't have any experience with Wayland, but I think I now remember having read about some limitations on moving windows on Wayland. I'll look into it as soon as I have a bit of time. For the time being, I don't think you need to try older releases: I can try setting up some virtual machines. I was asking because if you started noticing this issue, for example, after switching to Qt 6.8, I could have started investigating the changes in that version. I'll keep looking for ways to make previews work correctly on Wayland, too.
