Upon resuming from suspend, there's a high chance that the graphics would stutter down to ~30 FPS for 20+ seconds, never less than 20 seconds. 2. Browsing in Firefox and video playback is not smooth compared to Plasma 5, dropped frames upon scrolling and in 60 fps video playback here and there. If I set KWIN_DRM_DISABLE_TRIPLE_BUFFERING=1 (as an attempt to fix the stutters, various forums recommend it as a fix for Plasma 6 on Intel, as well as comment 3 here), THIS page (this bug report) opened in Firefox with all-black theme full-screen generates major global stutters with 90% reliability (check the attached video). Without the environment variable, there's less stutters, but watching 60 fps video is still not a pleasant experience. I have a beefy Intel NUC13 i5-1340P with Intel Iris Xe graphics. Setting power profile to performance mode does not change anything, although I can't exclude that the GPU frequency is just not ramping up fast enough. How to reproduce what's on the video (Fedora 41 KDE, Wayland): 1. Set KWIN_DRM_DISABLE_TRIPLE_BUFFERING=1 in /etc/environment 2. Reboot 3. Open Firefox in full screen 4. Go to settings, Website appearance = dark 5. Go to themes, select theme = dark 6. Open THIS kde bug report 7. Slowly scroll through it using mouse wheel Result: scrolling is much less than 60 FPS, other graphical applications (vkcube on the video) slow down. It used to be fine on Fedora 39 with Plasma 5. "Browser is jerky" was the first obvious visible issue after upgrading to Fedora 41.
