Picture showing widget/panel/menu translucency differences

SUMMARY
Since upgrading to Plasma 6.3, my desktop widgets' backgrounds are noticeably
darker than other desktop elements, like the panel or pop-up menus, when using
a transparent/translucent Plasma style. This was not the case with previous
versions of Plasma 6.x or 5.x. Note: The panel opacity is set to adaptive. The
same happens if the panel opacity is set to translucent.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Select a transparent/translucent Plasma style
2. Add a widget to the desktop (do not hide the widget background)
3. Observe the transparency/translucency difference between the widget
background and the Plasma panel or right click/popup menu(s)

OBSERVED RESULT
Widget backgrounds are noticeably darker than the panel

EXPECTED RESULT
Widget backgrounds have the same level of transparency/translucency as the
panel and menus

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
(available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a terminal window)
Linux: EndeavourOS/Arch Linux

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This was confirmed on a Surface Pro 8 laptop with an Intel iGPU and an ASUS ROG
Strix GL702-VM laptop with an NVIDIA GTX 1060 dedicated GPU. The attached
picture is from the Surface Pro 8.
