Bug ID: 499778 Summary: Hovering over SOME items in dolphin causes a wayland window to appear over the dolphin window that previews the image (Wayland). Classification: Applications Product: dolphin Version: 24.12.2 Platform: Arch Linux OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Keywords: wayland Severity: grave Priority: NOR Component: view-engine: tooltip Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: 66.ghostnat...@gmail.com CC: kfm-de...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 178125 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=178125&action=edit Obstructive Wayland Window SUMMARY This bug is very hard to catch, I've been trying to use Spectacle to get an image of it, but it disappears before I'm able to catch it. Hovering over an item in dolphin with the cursor spontaneously will generate a separate wayland window, with no titlebar, that shows the preview image of the element itself. It disappears in about two seconds, but this can repeatedly happen over again depending on how many items were hovered, and can disrupt the focusing of windows and can prevent me from typing in a text field on another application STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open dolphin (on wayland) 2. Hover over a a few items in a cursory way, do not click on them. 3. An obstructive Wayland window will appears briefly for 1 second that shows the image preview 3.
