I'm currently observing a similar behavior where after logging into KDE Plasma
6.2.5 the brightness adjustment slider is present and functional but after some
time just disappears for no apparent reason. After logging out and logging on
it's there again.
Also, if the slider has disappeared and under display configuration HDR is
enabled, it appears again. By disabling HDR the slider is gone again.
