Bug ID: 499413 Summary: "Places" is not synced between File>Open and Dolphin Classification: I don't know Product: kde Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org Reporter: k...@flavor8.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Places looks similar in File>Open and Dolphin. Wearing my "regular user" hat, I assume that File>Open is in fact Dolphin; why wouldn't it be? (Of course it's not; reasons.) Adding folders to Places is had to discover and clunky to execute (it should be: right click on folder; add to places). Users might figure their way through it once or twice, but there's enough friction that I would wager a lot of money that the actual list of places is sub-ideal if 95% of users. The real insult to injury is that "places" have to be set up twice; once for File>Open, and once for Dolphin. To regular users this is "a bug"; I already did this, why do I have to do it again?
