As said in the KDE Discuss thread mentioned above, launching Steam seems to
temporarily fix the issue, same with Discord, but it doesn’t work with e.g.
Dolphin. I suppose launching XWayland does something that makes the input not
laggy until some condition make it slow and choppy again.
