It seems that the official 7-Zip by Igor Pavlov has gained adoption, although it is not yet adopted by Fedora. The p7zip fork appears to be abandoned (no active development) and is still based on an old version of 7-Zip (22.00) - the latest version of official 7-Zip is 24.09. Arch Linux used to package the p7zip fork, but has dropped it and is now using the official 7-Zip to replace p7zip.
