Bug ID: 499019 Summary: The "Details" button is useless in the notification Classification: Applications Product: Discover Version: 6.2.90 Platform: unspecified OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: discover Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: katze_...@alt-kde.ru CC: aleix...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 177596 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=177596&action=edit Screenshot SUMMARY If you start installing an application or updating the system and then close Discover, a notification with a progress bar and a "Details" button will appear. Clicking this button will only display one line: "<n> of <n> item," which simply duplicates the information already shown above and serves no real purpose. I see two possible solutions here. First, remove the button entirely to make the notification more minimalist and aesthetically pleasing. Second, provide more detailed information, such as which packages are currently being downloaded, how many megabytes remain to be downloaded, and so on.
