I am also experiencing this bug on debian testing, with yakuake 24.12.0. My
screens are 2560x1440 (primary) and 1200x1920 (portrait).
I don't have to open yakuake on the portrait monitor, just interacting with an
application there before returning to the primary and pressing the yakuake
hotkey is enough to have yakuake open with half of the window missing.
This also seems to be reported as bug 415111 and bug 485069, and I wonder if
the underlying cause is this upstream mesa issue:
