            Bug ID: 498563
Summary: Digital Clock not taking time zone into account when
                    displaying lunar phases
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: plasmashell
           Version: 6.1.5
          Platform: Kubuntu
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Digital Clock widget
          Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: b...@bossbattle.net
  Target Milestone: 1.0

SUMMARY

I've noticed the dates of lunar phases in the digital clock widget's calendar
are frequently off by a day. I'm guessing the issue is most likely caused by a
difference in time zone, which is not being properly taken into account. For
example, there is a full moon late on January 13th 2025, UTC, and this is the
date the widget's calendar displays it on. However, my time zone is actually
UTC+2, and here the full moon falls on January 14th, which is the date normally
marked in all local calendars. The issue might also apply to other astronomical
events, though I don't have that information at hand right now to confirm.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Enable Lunar phases under Astronomical Events in Digital Clock
2. View lunar phase dates in the widget's calendar, in a time zone other than
UTC

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux: Kubuntu 24.10
KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.6.0
Qt Version: 6.6.2

PS. Tangentially related wishlist item: it would be neat if the calendar also
displayed the actual time of astronomical events, instead of just the date.
