Bug ID: 498557 Summary: Opening Systemsettings with Burn my Windows desktop effects results in zoom bug Classification: Plasma Product: kwin Version: 6.2.5 Platform: Arch Linux OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: decorations Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: rblade...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 177297 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=177297&action=edit Video showing the bug for systemsettings. SUMMARY When using Scheegan's Burn My Windows effects, opening System Settings displays a glitch where the window zooms in on the content until the animation is done as seen in the attachment. Ark undergoes something similar as the window sort of "boxes in" on the content before properly showing it, but this particular bug happens without the decoration. The issue as been discussed at [Github] (https://github.com/Schneegans/Burn-My-Windows/issues/481) with the maintainer of the effects and he says its a kwin problem. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Desktop Effects in System Settings and apply any Burn-My-Windows effects. 2. Open System Settings or Ark and see the glitch as shown in the attachment. OBSERVED RESULT The window zooms in on the content until the animation is done when opening System Settings. In ark the window is "boxed in" as seem here. EXPECTED RESULT Kwin should show the content properly while animating the window. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.10.0 Qt Version: 6.8.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Apart from System settings or Ark this glitch is not seen anywhere at least as I can recall. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
