Bug ID: 498417 Summary: on session restore, ignored applications does not work Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version: 6.2.5 Platform: Neon OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Keywords: wayland Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Session Management Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: dennis@thegood.cloud CC: natalie_clar...@yahoo.de Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY I have configured from settings, in Desktop Session: - Session Restore set to "On last logout" - ingnored applications: spectacle If i login the desktop, spectacle still starts. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Install KDE Neon stable 2. set desktop session as above 3. log out, login. OBSERVED RESULT - spectacle still starts - the same with asbru-cm - it looks like "ignored applications" does not work EXPECTED RESULT - spectacle shouldn't start if added to the list of ignored applications SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: KDE neon 6.2 KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.9.0 Qt Version: 6.8.1 Kernel Version: 6.8.0-51-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i7-8565U CPU @ 1.80GHz Memory: 15,3 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® UHD Graphics 620 Manufacturer: Dell Inc. Product Name: XPS 13 9380 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I think this has to do that we still have "fake session restore" as mentioned in https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=436318. I also understand we are waiting for wayland to add the capability: https://invent.kde.org/plasma/kwin/-/issues/113. So I'm not sure this should be an open bug: can it be fixed in "the fake session restore" or should it be closed as we will get a "true" session restore. I just wanted to mention this behaviour and didn't see among the other plasmashell/SessionManagement. @devs: you can decide what you want to do with this bugreport: close it, park it or close it. I just wanted to do my bit on reporting bugs. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
