Since this ticket derailed a bit, I refiled here trying to limit it to Plasma 6.2.4 and clearly list the situations that are suspicious: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=498387 I hope that is productive. Perhaps it makes sense to close this one here, and then refile it once cursor size are stable if there's still a need?
