What appears to be going on here is that the Pager widget is very wide because
you just so happen to have a horizontal arrangements of virtual desktops, a
horizontal panel, and an ultrawide screen.

Or are you saying that the screen you plugged in is *not* an ultrawide screen
and the virtual desktop representations in the Pager widget are not reflecting
the actual screen aspect ratio?
