Bug ID: 498196 Summary: crash when closing kontact while fetching news/mail Classification: Applications Product: kontact Version: 6.3.0 Platform: Neon OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: crash Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org Reporter: martin.tlus...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY kontact crashes when closing while fetching news and/or emails. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open kontact (on kmail component). 2. Click "check mail" 3. switch to akregator, click "fetch all sources" 4. switch back to kmail, click "check email" again 5. switch to akregator, clicke "fetch all sources" again 6. close kontact OBSERVED RESULT "kontact closed unexpectedly", drkonqui runs, gdb fetches info, takes about 9GB of RAM and exits. EXPECTED RESULT kontact should close normally SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: KDE neon 6.2 KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.9.0 Qt Version: 6.8.1 Kernel Version: 6.8.0-51-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 6 × AMD Ryzen 5 4500U with Radeon Graphics Memory: 15,0 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon Graphics Manufacturer: Acer Product Name: Aspire A515-44G System Version: V1.12 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION When running "gdb kontact" and "run", and redoing the steps above, no crash occurs, so I couldn't add a backtrace. But there have been several automatic crash reports that have been sent from my computer, so you should have all the necessary information... Also, one of the email resources I have is a MS Office 365 account that also crashes or goes offline all the time, it could have something to do with the crash as well. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
