I don't have a native build installed. I use the Flatpak (or the AppImage) and
I don't think I can define that via the command line as those packages are
containers, right?
Actually, I had the XCURSOR_SIZE=48 added as an env variable in Flatseal as a
fix when I first installed the package long time ago and it has worked until
the last digiKam flatseal package update recently. Now it has no effect any
more; can't figure out why.
Maybe short term solution for me could be building it natively, but i have no
experience in that.
