                    empty .srt file
    Classification: Applications
           Product: kdenlive
           Version: 24.12.0
          Platform: Appimage
                OS: Linux

          Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org
          Reporter: polylacticsugarc...@protonmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
If you create a subtitle and then delete it, Kdenlive won't stop you from
exporting the subtitles. This causes an error message to show up that says
"Cannot write to file /path/to/srt/file" when exporting the nonexistent
subtitles as a .srt file.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a new project and add subtitles anywhere
2. Delete the subtitles you added
3. Go to Project > Subtitles and click Export Subtitle File
4. Save the file as a .srt file

OBSERVED RESULT
An window that says "Cannot write to file /path/to/srt/file.srt" will pop up

EXPECTED RESULT
The "no subtitles in current project" warning/error message on the bottom right
corner should pop up and prevent you from being able to export subtitles.
