Bug ID: 498048 Summary: Ark doesn't open a multi-volume 7z archive because it is corrupted but 7zz t says everything is OK Classification: Applications Product: ark Version: 24.08.3 Platform: Gentoo Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: plugins Assignee: elvis.angelac...@kde.org Reporter: palapap...@gmail.com CC: rthoms...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I have a rather large multi-volume 7zip archive that Ark refuses to open. The error given is: Loading the archive <filename> failed with the following error: The archive may be corrupt or has header-encryption, which is currently not supported. However, I have checked the integrity of the archive using 7zz t <filename> and it said "Everything is Ok". I don't know how to produce another archive that has the same issue, so I will link where I downloaded it from here. Note that the archive contains NSFW content. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Download the archive from https://sukebei.nyaa.si/view/4219127 2. Try opening COM3D2_EN.7z.001 with Ark. 3. It gives the error mentioned above. OBSERVED RESULT Ark states that the archive is corrupted even though it wasn't. EXPECTED RESULT Ark successfully opens the archive.
