--- Comment #3 from troytj...@gmail.com --- This appears to be caused by reapplying the old config to the new widget in AlternativesHelper::loadAlternative. This appears to have been added to keep the old settings when switching between widgets (https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-workspace/-/commit/b9a3005f39a5c2f0336b7f687abe1e86d595a40d). The system monitor widget is technically the same between the alternative versions. The only difference is the config, so reloading the old config causes nothing to change.
