Bug ID: 497847 Summary: Screen brightness doesn't go back to normal after connecting power Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version: 6.2.4 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Power management & brightness Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: php4...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 *** If you're not sure this is actually a bug, instead post about it at https://discuss.kde.org If you're reporting a crash, attach a backtrace with debug symbols; see https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports Please remove this comment after reading and before submitting - thanks! *** SUMMARY STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. use a laptop, disconnected from power 2. wait for the battery to discharge to below 5% or whatever the threshold is 3. => screen brightness gets reduced automatically 4. connect to power OBSERVED RESULT The screen brightness doesn't go back to its original value. I have no idea whether other power-saving features got activated when the battery went below the threshold and were not deactivated when I connected to power. EXPECTED RESULT When you connect to power, whatever power saving actions were taken when the battery level went below the threshold, should be reverted. Including screen brightness.
