Kdenlive.

Regarding #1: The newest release 24.12.0 includes the ASS format for subtitles
that allows that kind of adjustment of individual characters, words, sentences,
etc. Please refer to the official Kdenlive Manual:

Regarding #2: Editing of vertical text is not available. You may want to create
a new bug report and flag it as wish list.
