See screenshot, at least reproduces on Spider.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Start kpat
2. Choose Spider
3. Get drowned in artifacts

EXPECTED RESULT
No artifacts.
Interestingly, running with QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb doesn't have this issue.
