Bug ID: 497716 Summary: Crash while rendering audio Classification: Applications Product: subtitlecomposer Version: 0.8.0 Platform: Ubuntu OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: max...@smoothware.net Reporter: mich...@vonglasow.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 176787 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=176787&action=edit bactrace.txt SUMMARY Crash while rendering audio STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Load a video file. 2. Play, or scroll through audio, from beginning to end. OBSERVED RESULT Subtitle Composer crashes. EXPECTED RESULT No crash, Subtitle Composer continues to work normally. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Ubuntu MATE 22.04 LTS ADDITIONAL INFORMATION For a given video file, the timestamp at which the crash occurs is reproducible. The crash occurs both when playing back the video file, and when scrolling through waveform audio, both forward and backward – this suggests the crash has to do with waveform audio rendering. When transcoding the video file to a different audio format but maintaining the bitrate, the crash still happens at the same timestamp. When transcoding the video and changing the audio bitrate, the crash will still happen, but at a different timestamp. (In my test, a lower bitrate meant the crash would occur later, but I did not test that extensively.) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
