The original bug as reported is fixed for me in Konsole 4:16.08.2-2 on the
current Debian testing release as of today.
This is probably because Unicode 9 included fixes to mark many of these
characters as EAST ASIAN WIDE, & a conforming fixed width terminal will render
these as taking up the space of two ordinary characters.
