            Bug ID: 497489
Summary: system monitor plasmoid, item spacing inappropriate
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: plasmashell
           Version: git-stable-Plasma/6.2
          Platform: Fedora RPMs
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: NOR
         Component: System Monitor
          Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: p...@smely.org
                CC: ahiems...@heimr.nl, notm...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: 1.0

SUMMARY
compared to plasma5: the system monitor widget, in bar form, the columns were
appropriately spaced over the items. in plasma6, when choosing "separate cores"
for the cpu load, all the core bars are squeezed into the single cpu column.
when using together with other meters (like memory and swap) the columns are
not equally spaced.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. attach a system monitor plasmoid (v2.8 by Barry Strong) to the taskbar
2. choose cpu load with separate cores (when you have a cpu with more than 1
core) together with memory and swap. columns=3 and h/w ration of 3.0
3. see the ugly spread of columns.

OBSERVED RESULT
uneven column width, which leaves you either with undistinguishably thin core
bars or disproportionally wide memory/swap bars. this was very differently
handeled in plasma5

EXPECTED RESULT
even column widths as it was in plasma5

ADDITIONAL QUESTION
i did not figure out, what the "columns" number should be other than the number
of items i choose. if i select less, the display of the widget gets totally
distorted, if i select more, then it results in empty spaces behind the items.
in my opinion, it makes no sense.
