            Bug ID: 497392
Summary: Dedicated animation camera as alternative to transform
                    masks
    Classification: Applications
           Product: krita
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: unspecified
                OS: All
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Animation
          Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: lixefal...@ckuer.com
  Target Milestone: ---

This is a feature request submission of what this krita-artist thread is
talking about:
https://krita-artists.org/t/2d-camera-movement/89628

The usage of transform masks is a horrible substitute for an animation camera
because it chews up resources extremely quickly. While very simple camera
movements can be done, once you start getting complex, you're lucky if the
program doesn't crash at all while it's constantly recalculating everything.

So I propose as outlined in the thread, to either overhaul transform masks
and/or replace them with a dedicated camera. One additional suggestion is that
when you zoom in, it only takes into account what is being zoomed in rather
than the entire layer.
