SUMMARY
In my fresh Kubuntu 24.04 LTS installation, starting digikam for the first time
always ends in "Illegal instruction (core dumped)". It does not matter if I
install from the software center, through apt or use one of the AppImages. 

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install digikam: sudo apt-get install digikam (installs 8.2)
2. start digikam from cmd line
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT
frans@xxxxx:~$ digikam
Illegal instruction (core dumped)

EXPECTED RESULT
configuration dialog
