It's now more than a year and (seemingly) nothing happened. I really don't get
it. KDE once was the best. Of course, there were some bumpy episodes from time
to time (e.g. when migrating from KDE 3.x to 4.x), but never before, I
experienced such a miserable failure: *Without* *any* *need*, you removed a
very important feature (!) and for over a year, you don't put any effort in
re-adding it. What's wrong with you guys? Are you trying to convince people to
migrate away from KDE?!

I'm a software developer myself. And I certainly do not only think well before
removing a feature, but I would immediately make re-adding/repairing it the
highest priority, if this accidentally happened. Many users complained (this
issue has 754 votes, currently), but still there seems to be no progress :-(

So what's the state? Are you working on a solution? When is it expected to be
ready?
